The Foundation for the Elderly Care Center is preparing to expand its facilities by auctioning off a plot of land in the Capricho area. The proceeds from the sale will be used to create new spaces within the center. Estepona City Council has initiated the necessary procedures for this expansion project. The Board of Trustees, led by Mayor José María García Urbano, has approved the auction of a plot owned by the Foundation. This plot, located in El Capricho urbanization, covers 483 square meters and has an estimated value of 777,160 euros. The Virgen del Carmen Foundation-Residence, established in 1984, provides care and attention to the elderly since 1987. The center currently offers 153 places, with a focus on those in need from Estepona and the surrounding region. The Day Care Unit (UED) has been operating since 2010, offering workshops, activities, and therapies to enhance the well-being of the residents.
