A diverse and high-quality cultural program awaits the new concessionaire of the Felipe VI Theater Auditorium, as the Estepona City Council has announced the tender for its management. The selected candidate will be responsible for organizing a range of activities, including theater, dance, music, film screenings, and congress events, over the next three years. The specifications for the tender outline specific requirements for the programming, such as a minimum number of annual activities in various categories like children’s arts, circus, dance, theater, opera, classical music concerts, and musicals. The City Council will also maintain its own programming with a minimum of 20 events per year. The selection process will consider factors like the quality of programming, inclusion of renowned artists, municipal event offerings, cinema programming, and provision of theater and dance courses. The contract will cover the management and administration of the auditorium, including technical assistance, maintenance, and equipment costs for the duration of three years. The facilities, including two halls, outdoor plaza, and cafeteria service, will be available for various cultural and recreational activities, congresses, exhibitions, and more. Since its inauguration in 2015, the Felipe VI Theater Auditorium has been a prominent venue on the Costa del Sol, offering a main hall with a capacity of 600 people, a stage with simultaneous translation system, a secondary hall for smaller events, and a versatile outdoor space for exhibitions and performances.
