The XI Interschool Chess Tournament for Children’s Teams and XI Intercenter Tournament for ESO and Bachillerato Teams will take place on Friday, March 28, from 10:00 to 13:30 at the Chess Square. The event is part of ‘Estepona Lives its Streets’ and will see 200 schoolchildren participating. Each school will field a team of 10 players, while Secondary and Baccalaureate students from IES Estepona can register for free at the Municipal Chess School. The day will kick off at 10:00 am with the awards ceremony set for 13:00. The Interschool Tournament will follow a Swiss system with 5 rounds and 10 minutes per player, while the Intercenter Tournament will use the Round Rubing system with 5 rounds per team and 10 minutes per player. Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each tournament, with all participants receiving diplomas.
