An agreement with the Aprona association has allowed the municipal parking plan in Estepona to create job opportunities for individuals with functional diversity. The plan, which offers parking for one euro per day in four locations, not only provides over 2,000 parking spaces but also promotes the employment of people with disabilities. Through the partnership with Aprona, the City Council has facilitated the hiring of 37 workers, 33 of whom have some form of disability. This collaboration highlights the capabilities of individuals with functional diversity and their ability to contribute to the workforce. The workers, aged between 35 and 60, manage parking lots at various locations in the city, ensuring their upkeep and operation around the clock. The expansion of the parking network, with two new lots in progress, further underscores Estepona’s commitment to accessible and inclusive employment opportunities.
