The First Gastronomy Competition in Estepona for the Benefit of the Vera+Cruz Brotherhood

Mark your calendars for the upcoming Gastronomy Competition in Estepona, organized by the City Council to support the Vera+Cruz Brotherhood. Taking place on Sunday, June 8 at El Calvario Park, the event is set to showcase the culinary talents of the participants. Registration will be open from April 15 to May 30, with a maximum of 20 spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants, whether individuals or groups, must be of legal age to join the contest. Each participant will receive 1 liter of oil, 5 kilograms of rice, and vegetables for cooking from the organization. The competition will feature various types of paella, with a minimum of 50 servings per entry. The public can sample these dishes for 5 euros per serving, with all proceeds going to charity. A panel of judges, including renowned professionals in the catering industry, will evaluate the entries and award prizes on the same day. The first prize winner will receive 1,000 euros, followed by 500 euros for the second prize and 250 euros for the third prize. Additionally, there will be 17 runner-up prizes of 100 euros each. To participate, interested individuals must download the registration form from the City of Estepona’s website and submit it to the Delegation of Culture between April 15 and May 30, 2025.
