The deadline for registration is March 31. The workshop will be held at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center in the morning. Estepona Municipality is currently accepting registrations for the Easter Digital Workshop, designed to equip children and teenagers aged 9 to 13 with digital skills. Scheduled for April 14-16, the workshop will focus on teaching participants how to use the Internet and digital tools in a practical, creative, safe, and responsible manner. Just like the previous digital camp held during Semana Blanca, this new initiative is made possible through a partnership between the Municipality and the CiberVolunteers Foundation. The workshop is free of charge and includes a DigComp certificate, with a total duration of 12 hours. Taking place in the computer room at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center, the workshop will feature tailored content and activities for different age groups, running from 10:00 to 14:00. Participants will not only learn how to effectively search for information online, but also how to create digital content, secure passwords, and safeguard personal data. They will receive guidance on verifying shared information, identifying fake news, managing screen time, and practicing privacy and responsible social media behavior. Additionally, they will learn strategies for more efficient information filtering and searching, as well as recognizing and preventing cyberbullying. To sign up, interested individuals can contact the Youth department at animacion@estepona.es. Due to limited capacity, only 15 participants will be accommodated.
